Buddy Guy, the 86-year-old living legend, is packing up his touring boots for his farewell tour. As this will be his final act, he is touring the world, including Brazil, India, Paris, the Czech Republic, and the United States, and it will be a truly incredible experience to witness him perform live one last time.
With half a century of music performance history under his belt, he has become the consummate Chicago blues icon, taking the genre to the stratosphere and beyond. His influence can be seen in other legends such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and countless other musicians. Not only that, he has been even been put in Rolling Stone's "Greatest Guitarists of All Time" list, sitting proudly at number 23.
As a kid, he picked up the guitar with a self made diddley bow variant of the instrument and developed his music while also working as a laborer in on a cotton field. He was then given a Harmony acoustic guitar, which he used to hone his skills even further. Guy gave that guitar to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum, where it sits proudly on display.
With a mash-up of blues, soul, and rock and roll, he has created an unfiltered sound that has become a staple in the genre and he is an incredible showman too. Unafraid to showboat by slashing his guitar within the audience, his live shows are a true phenomenon, and fans cannot contain their excitement any time he passes through their city.
Living and breathing blues, Guy has given the world a plethora of music from 30 outstanding albums, which contain hits such as "Midnight Train," "She's Nineteen Years Old," "Five Long Years," "Mustang Sally," and many more. All of which has resulted in him achieving eight GRAMMYS and a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Now you get to witness him performing live one last time on tour and you would be mad to miss out on this spectacular event. So be sure to snag your tickets right here and now before they sell out.
